Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs has always maintained that the erosion of family values and the disappearance of basic cultural features pose a great threat to social harmony and community progress. He has also constantly emphasized the fact the traditional designation of Chief is more of a responsibility than a title for upward mobility. He therefore feels the need as a father, as a leader, as a custodian, as a progressive and as a statesman to always concern himself with the aforementioned issues in respect to cultural maintenance, peace and development in Rivers State.
Only the very rare kind will keep up with charity and Community service right in the face of daunting challenges. Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs has just recently provided humongous financial sponsorship for countless humanitarian programs in Rivers State, also very recently, he has selflessly provided financial aid for numerous Political programs including those that did not really have direct impact on his governorship pursuits. His current challenges are public knowledge, yet this multitasked and tireless eleutherian finds time and resources to plan and execute a far-reaching educative program for reviving our native languages in Rivers State.
Through his Youth Foundation (DYF23) Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs is sponsoring summer classes for young Riverians in our native languages including: Kalabari, Ikwerre, Okirika, Ekpeye, Obolo, Ogoni, Ibani and Nembe Languages. Classes began on Monday, 29th July 2019. And will run throughout the holiday. Venue is 10 Rebisi Avenue, off Daniel Igwe street, Nkpogu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. People who are interested can call 09036327802, for more information.
DLB is ever willing!
God bless Rivers State!
